Description CHAMP Asterocks

The description on the CHAMP Games fan page says it all about this excellent remake of ATARI's classic arcade shooter, Asteroids: 'Based on CHAMP Asteroids, this version offers superb graphics, Soundblaster compatibility and improved gameplay that really makes you feel like you're in an arcade'. A completely redesigned user interface is now easier and more powerful than before.

A complete remake of the look and feel has created a truly enjoyable game. The objective of CHAMP Asterocks is to clear sectors of asteroids. You control a spaceship that you must maneuver to avoid asteroids and enemy ships attacking from the sides.

Note that there are two different game modes: Classic Mode plays more like the arcade, CHAMP Mode includes Classic Mode with more upgrades, including more asteroids, mines, shields and Asterock Bosses! Vector graphics are more like early 80's games. Vector graphics can only be used in Classic Mode. Color graphics are supported in both Classic and CHAMP modes. Color mode features 3D graphics at 256 colors'.

CHAMP games feature excellent graphics, faithful recreation of the arcade originals and smooth, addictive gameplay that brings this beloved classic to a new generation of gamers as well as veterans who will enjoy CHAMP levels. If you like the arcade original, you will definitely enjoy this wonderful remake from one of the best shareware companies in the industry. Two thumbs up, way up!
