Galax Empires

Galax Empires is a game strategy developed by Island Dream - Games & Soft and published by BMM GmbH. Originally released in Germany in 1998. Currently you can download and play the game for DOS.

Galax Empires is a turn-based strategy game set in the distant future, in which up to four players, chosen from eight different alien races, must expand their galactic empire and achieve the ultimate destruction of their enemies.

Players must find resources and develop strategic technologies to expand their borders, conquer new planets, terraform and populate them.

The player must take into account the transfer of goods (food and minerals). The autonomy of the spaceship also depends on the distance from the colony, which makes the logistical task of transporting troops and supplies to all corners of the empire more complex.

For this reason, the player has different types of spaceships that he can design to fulfill the industry ahead of him. Each has its own characteristics in terms of speed, fuel consumption, payload, available troops and firepower.

The ultimate goal is to conquer all available galactic sectors (78 planets) while encountering opposition from other players and the natives of those planets.

The game, like the previous game, features a diplomacy system that allows players to declare a state of war and create alliances. This diplomacy system also has a message system that allows sending messages from one player to another in secret.
