Description Protium
Protium is a side-view horizontal scrolling shooter in which the screen constantly scrolls from left to right as you control exploding spaceships and evade aliens in various levels. Earth has been threatened in hyperspace by aliens and, as their base is so far away, an attack is not plausible. The only solution is to activate the Galactic Shield, but this requires large amounts of Protium and there is none on Earth. To get some Protium you have to steal a ship loaded with it and bring it to Earth to save the planet. The aliens attack in formations and if you touch any of them or get shot you lose one of your six lives. From time to time icons appear and when you touch one, you receive a power-up: extra firepower, extra speed, reverse fire, laser, plasma bomb and shield. In the middle of each level a mother ship appears and must be destroyed to advance.
