Players get to choose from 4 different modes of play. In the classic mode, players must spell words from a grid of 16 letter tiles. In the scramble mode, players must unscramble the letters to form words; in the jumble mode, players must rearrange the order of the letters to create words; and in the blitz mode, they must create as many words as possible within a short time limit.

The game also offers bonus features that can boost the player's score. These include letter multipliers, bonus words, and bonus tiles that can be used to form longer words. Additionally, the game features a single-player mode as well as a two-player mode for a more competitive experience.
